Our home dock sits on Calhoun Ave at the foot of the Destin bridge — a stone’s throw from Crab Island. Here’s how to roll in and get on the water.
Getting Here

North side of the East Pass (Destin) bridge — turn onto Calhoun Ave off Highway 98 and follow it to the marina at the water’s edge. Get directions
Parking
Crab Island Runner (7 Calhoun Ave): use the public parking at the Destin Marina next to the launch. Spots go quickly on busy summer days — pile the crew into one car when you can.
Check-In
Cruise guests: arrive 45 minutes early with a photo ID, sign the waivers, and let your USCG-licensed captain do the driving. Renting a jet ski or pontoon instead? Take the Florida temporary boater test online before you arrive — drivers born on or after January 1, 1988 need it, and doing it early makes check-in easier and faster ($3 NASBLA option at the dock).
Don’t forget: reef-safe sunscreen, shades with a strap, a towel for the swim stop, and a small soft-sided cooler (no glass).
