After you begin your Crab Island cruise in Destin, Florida, you’ll see that the sky’s the limit. The Crab Island tours include chances to spot dolphins and other marine life, as well as being able to learn more about Crab Island. Once you and your party arrive, you will be able to kick back, relax, and enjoy the water. You can bring food with you, but there is the option to buy food from the local vendors. Next up on our list is Fish on Seafood House, located on Harbor Boulevard. Fish on Seafood House is fairly new, but offers excellent options to choose from. If you are a foodie and a fan of the show Hell’s Kitchen, then you are lucky because the executive chef of Fish on Seafood House is Chef Giovianni Filippone. Chef Giovianni Filippone became known on Hell’s Kitchen for his signature seafood plates. One thing to note is the seafood is always fresh. Some favorites from their menu are the Fish Tacos, the Crab Cakes, Fish N Chips, Pepper Crusted Tuna, and the Fried Grouper. Truly, you can not go wrong with having a fish taco when the seafood is so fresh. McGuire’s Irish Pub in Destin
This next place has been around a while, but it is definitely a crowd-pleaser. We are talking about McGuire’s Irish Pub! McGuire’s Irish Pub is an Irish pub-themed restaurant which has been open since 1996. The location is right by the Destin Harbor, with entertainment happening Sunday through Saturday. The entertainment is in two different slots, this means from Sunday through Wednesday, the performances are from 8 pm to midnight. After that then Thursday through Saturday, the performances are from 9 pm to 1 am. One thing that makes this place unique is the full menu is open all the way to 2 am. McGuire’s Irish Pub has many options to choose from, but here are some fan favorites that you should try: Reuben Egg Rolls, Reuben Sandwich, Senate Bean Soup, McGuire’s Jumbo Bavarian Pretzel, and Shepherd’s Pie. Now, this sounds like a great meal.
Blue Mahoe Breakfast & Lunch
If you are a “bruncher”, then this is a spot you should check out. Blue Mahoe Breakfast & Lunch is fairly new, but the food they are putting out deserves a spot on the list. This brunch place gives a twist of breakfast and lunch classics everyone knows and loves. The name Blue Mahoe comes from the name of the national tree of Jamaica. All of the food is fresh from local areas around Destin. We have a few items from their menu we think you should try out next time you go to Blue Mahoe Breakfast & Lunch. From the menu, you should give these a try: Pork & Grits, Crab Island Croissant, Island Waffle, and Ham Scramble. The Harbor Tavern
This next place is great for having fun chilling on the beach. The Harbor Tavern bar and grill restaurant that has a bit of everything. They opened back in 2019 and have been doing well ever since. A perk to this restaurant is that it is open on Monday, whereas some places are not always open then. With options from sandwiches to burgers to even Mediterranean bowls, we have picks that we believe you should give a try. The Pork Belly Tacos, Mediterranean Bowls, The Tavern, The Potstickers, and the Blackened Mahi Mediterranean Bowl are the favorites that we think you should give a try. The Harbor Tavern is a great location to go eat because not only are you getting great food, but you also can get a great view with their outdoor seating, which has a covered patio. If you are a fan of Italian food, then Mimmo’s is a must. Mimmo’s Ristorante Italiano is an Italian restaurant with dishes passed down generations through the owner Mimmo La Innusa’s Sicilian family. You can make reservations for either lunch or dinner. This is a great place to go if you want to get dressed up and have a nice meal. It is also good for whether it is for a celebration or just wanting to get out of the house for the night. Mimmo’s Ristorante Italiano has great options to choose from that you can not go wrong. Mimmo’s Garlic Rolls, Pappardelle Corleone, Pizza Diavola, Gnocchi Lobster Carbonara, and Tiramisu are some fan favorites. Each of these food items gives you a little bit of everything.
